Being a digital nomad and business owner myself, I am aware of the unique challenges we can face.
Some common areas of focus for individuals might be: loneliness, isolation, depression, anxiety, career path concerns, motivation and accountability, financial stress, relationship problems (long-distance or no time/space away from partner, infidelity), trust, grief, self-esteem, family conflict, and trauma history.
As you may know, there is often a stigma attached to our nomadic culture, where family and friends don’t understand and make judgements about our lifestyle choices. You have probably heard statements such as:
When are you going to settle down?
This is not a grown-up lifestyle – irresponsible
Do you think you will ever stop running from your problems?
On the other end of the spectrum, you probably have heard a statement like:
Your life is so glamorous
Must be nice to live on permanent vacation
In the real world…
Since I am a member of this community, I understand the stigma many of us face, and my counsel comes from a place of non-judgment.
Moreover, by understanding the essence of being a digital nomad, I offer virtual counseling services so that we can work together from anywhere.
