Trauma

As certified trauma specialists, we understand how significant medical issues, accidents, acts of nature, childhood abuse, neglect, sexual and physical assault, domestic violence, as well as psychological abuse can impact us for the rest of our lives.  Without treatment, many people continue to suffer for years after their traumatic event(s).

A concerned woman comforts a seated man who has his head in his hand. She holds a clipboard and gently touches his shoulder. The man wears camouflage pants and a green shirt, and they sit on a sofa in a bright, softly lit room.Attachment trauma is something that we carry with us into our relationships as adults.  Fortunately, there are treatments to help us mend these attachment wounds, so we can go on to have healthy and happy relationships.

Often, people who experience trauma develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and if they have multiple traumas, they might develop a complex PTSD (C-PTSD) diagnosis. PTSD can cause symptoms of anxiety and depression, panic attacks, sleep disturbance, nightmares, flashbacks, numbness and avoidance of people/places/things that remind you of the event(s).

We are experienced in treating PTSD and C-PTSD, in person and virtually.

You don’t have to suffer with these symptoms anymore!
