Have you ever thought that some people were just naturally born lucky? As if their stars were already aligned or they knew a secret that you had yet to discover? It seems that everything is working for them and you are sure there is a recipe that you have not yet discovered?
Truth be told, most people aren’t aware of the amount of power they actually have. For example, if something surprising happens to us, we’re more likely to chalk it up to pure coincidence.
The Law of Attraction is grounded in the belief that there is a universal law in which, “Like always attracts like.” However, this theory and practice don’t always meet the expectations of the individual (at least not immediately). The first reason is the complexity of each individual’s mindset. The second reason discusses the theories of this universal law. Basically, we create subtle levels of energy. These levels are vibrating, creating a more formed reality increasingly, from second to second. The creation process takes place first on the mental and then on the emotional level. The formula is simple:
- We create thoughts
- The thought causes emotion
- Emotion starts to vibrate subtle energy
- Vibration attracts the same or similar energy
- Every thought we send goes back to the source, which is us
If we subscribe to this theory, we would believe in order to change reality, we must first change our thoughts. It’s this first step that the vast majority of people get stuck on. A person’s ability to make changes depends not only on the individual, but on their social context. It’s not easy to change our thoughts, especially the unconscious negative beliefs when we have so much on our minds. The process of becoming aware of the unconscious is the ultimate challenge.
The trick is not to wait for something to change how we feel so we can begin to think differently, but the opposite – we need to think differently so that we can begin to feel the change positively.
Here are 5 simple ways to understand and practice the Law of Attraction:
- Set A Clear Vision
Whether you write your desire on a piece of paper or speak an invocation, you have to set a clear vision of what you want. Identify your desire. Make a plan of action. Dream, visualize, be confident about your desire. To manifest exactly what you want, you have to visualize as much detail as possible. Your only concern should be feeling good and knowing that the universe is working for you. For better event tracking you can create a vision board that will remind you every day of your ultimate goal.
- Focus on the Positive Aspects
Positive thinking has been shown to improve your physical health and well-being. We are attracted to who we’re around in every situation. Positive attracts positive, negative attracts negative. This is what we need to understand to change our mind-blocking beliefs. It is important to give our desire positive attention, energy and focus. If you focus all our positive energy on a positive outcome, it will eventually happen when you work towards it. When you start becoming more self-aware, you will be able to recognize helpful thoughts and feelings.
- Trust in the Power of Faith
The experiences we go through as humans can sometimes be unpleasant, however, we need to accept experiences that have already happened to us but also remember that we still have the choice to change our future. It’s up to you to believe in yourselves, don’t give up, hold on to your dreams, and ignore those who are trying to discourage you. Controlling your thoughts will control your destiny. Trust the process and it will come.
Every great work, every big accomplishment, has been brought into manifestation through holding to the vision, and often just before the big achievement, comes apparent failure and discouragement.

- Take Action
It may be tempting to stay focused on only our imagined goal but soon reality sets in and we must face our obstacles standing in the way of our desired outcome. Your situation may not be developing in the way you initially imagined and the desired results are missing. You may not feel in compliance with your intention.
This is where you take action to read your goal. Plan things out, set goals, and take steps to reach them. List five things you want to focus on and repeat them daily like a mantra. After you focus on what you want, you need to keep a hold on to that mindset without drifting into negative thoughts.
- Gratitude
Many times we find ourselves in a situation where we have every reason to be satisfied, but still remain dissatisfied. The most common reason is that many find it easier to think about what others have, then create reasons as to why they will never be able to reach it. This is how we block our positive energy.
If we learn how to express gratitude, then we can learn how to focus on the good instead of the bad. Putting a little gratitude in your daily life is a first step to achieving many of your hopes and dreams. By the law of attraction this means if you are grateful, you will attract even more abundance to be grateful for.
There are many ways you can express gratitude. You can write an email or donate something to charity, and share your gratitude with the world. Don’t hesitate to make others happy too. Tell your loved ones how important they are to us and how grateful you are that they are a part of your life. Herein lies a true change to a positive mindset.

I’m looking for a Law of Attraction counselor who takes Medicare and Tufts Health Plan insurance. I have been studying it and have tried to apply the principles for over seven years. I’m still having difficulties such as the art of allowing (with regard to other people). I hope you take insurance. Do you give free consultations? If so, my phone number is 508.221.4402. Thanks, Valerie Leri
