You may feel unsure of how to put words to your feelings, stuck in old patterns, or overwhelmed by stress that seems to touch every part of your life. Many of my clients are Black and Brown individuals, including athletes, who want change, healing, and growth. Having a therapist who shares cultural understanding can make it easier to open up and feel seen. Therapy offers a
safe, nonjudgmental space to explore challenges, find clarity, and begin living in a way that feels true to you.
My name is Dennis Ahana, a licensed therapist working with trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I use a practical, adaptable approach—drawing from ACT and EFT while tailoring other methods to fit you. As a former athlete with a background in exercise sports science, I integrate body, mind, and heart in the healing process. Starting therapy takes courage. You don’t need to have it all figured out—this is a safe space to be curious, supported, and encouraged. I see you as the expert of your story, while I help connect the dots, uncover blind spots, and guide you toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
With gratitude,
Dennis A.
