Hello! My name is Peyton and I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University. Since I am a Professional Counselor Associate I receive supervision from a Licensed Professional Counselor. My focus is helping individual adults through life’s curve balls and challenges. I operate with a Client-Centered framework, which means I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, respected, and empowered in their healing journey. I also enjoy weaving the techniques of Internal Family Systems into sessions, as I believe our pasts can greatly impact our present.
IFS is useful in understanding all the moving parts of the individual, and the roles they may possess that contribute to who a person is at their core. It deals with looking at the unmet needs of our different internal parts and inner children, acknowledging the effects of trauma on our conceptualization of our lives and our place in the world.
My goal is to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship that honors each person’s unique story while supporting them in uncovering their strengths and moving toward greater resilience, confidence, and overall well-being.
I look forward to hearing your story!
